The company announces the publication of its first full carbon footprint report, conducted using the ADEME’s official Bilan Carbone® methodology, with the support of Bpifrance and guidance from OID Consultants.
🔍 A precise initial snapshot of our emissions
For the 2023 fiscal year, Kumulus Vape’s carbon footprint amounts to 3,700 tonnes of CO₂, covering all three emission scopes (1, 2 and 3). This rigorous assessment was made possible through close collaboration between internal teams and key suppliers, with refined data collection based on actual weight (kg) and a controlled uncertainty rate of just 11%.
🔧 Action already underway
Air freight reduction, improved product traceability, integration of sustainable materials, and local partnerships for biodiversity and the circular economy — several concrete actions are already in progress, supported by a solid and continuously improving information system.
📈 An ambitious trajectory: –15% by 2030
Kumulus Vape has set a clear target to reduce its emissions by 15% by 2030, using 2020 as the baseline, in alignment with national and European climate commitments. This roadmap will be monitored, measured, and shared with full transparency.
💬 Rémi Baert, Founder and CEO:
“This report is a first step. It’s not an end in itself, but a starting point for decarbonising our operations. We intend to take on a leadership role within the sector and inspire other players to accelerate their own transition.”
📢 This publication is part of a broader and ambitious ESG strategy: in 2024, Kumulus Vape received an extra-financial rating of 66/100 from Ethifinance — well above the sector average of 48/100.
